A brand new open access publication by IFB scientists has been published in Journal of Invertebrate Pathology:

Dr Magdalena Rajewska, one of the MOBI4Health Experienced Researchers, will continue her research at the IFB in the frame of a new a research grant entitled: “Genetic background and impact of environmental factors on biofilm formation by the beneficial strain of bacteria, Pseudomonas donghuensis P482, in biotic and abiotic conditions“. The project will be funded by one of the Polish research funding agencies, National Science Centre, with approx. 160.000 EUR. Research preceeding this grant has been conducted with one of the MOBI4Health partner institutions, the University of Nottingham, UK. The research plans for the new project also involve further cooperation with Prof. Paul William’s Lab.
We are proud to inform that Prof. Ewa Łojkowska from IFB has been re-elected for the term 2015-2018 as Vice-Chairwoman of the Committee of Biotechnology at the Division of Biological and Agricultural Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
Chairman of the Committee is Prof. Tomasz Twardowski (Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry Polish Academy of Sciences), other Vice-Chairmen are Prof. Jerzy Długoński (University of Łódź) and Prof. Grzegorz Węgrzyn (University of Gdańsk).

XXII Biotechnology Summer School (BSS)
organized by the Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology of the University of Gdansk and the Medical University of Gdansk (Poland).
This year’s edition is organized in cooperation with MOBI4Health project – Centre of Molecular Biotechnology for Healthy Life – Biotech solutions bringing health to living organisms and environment supported by mass spec-focused research platform, carried out at IFB UG-MUG.
The conference will take place July 5th-9th 2016 in Centrum Pałacowo-Konferencyjne „Osada Danków” in Wielimowo near Miłomłyn (Poland).

We are proud to announce that the University of Gdańsk has been awarded by the European Commission the distinction Human Resources Excellence in Research.
The European Commission awards institutions that comply with the recommendations described in the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for Recruitment of Researchers.
